  3. While most fans will cite the Records' debut album, Shades in Bed (aka The Records in the U.S.), as their finest full-length platter, others still stand by their sophomore album, Crashes, as their defining tedtawaljodotitidislinouhuany.coinfo, where does that leave this, their third and final album? Music on Both Sides is an album that takes a few steps away from the tried and tested Records sound while remaining a pure.

Both Sides Now This is a very basic arrangement of Joni Mitchells original version of this song (where its just her singing and a very simple guitar accompaniment.) This isnt the updated, more recent version with Mitchell singing along with full orchestral backing.

LP 1 is FIVE (count 'em) BIG STARS, Crashes I'll be kind to and give it Three, but this one barely sounds like the band that gave us the pop confection that is Shades In Bed (plus all the goodies that came with it). Heck, the B-sides and throw aways from the first album out shine anything on Music On Both Sides. Even the name of the album is weak/5(7).

Looks like we have two birthdays coming up. I was born 13 days after you wrote this song to a 21 year-old mother. I didn't discover until tonight that you wrote Both Sides Now .

  9. Voodooshura says:
"The songs, most of which come from the '30s and '40s are unhappy love songs. Vince Mendoza's arrangements a third of them played by a gigantic piece orchestra, a third by a regular-size orchestra, and a third by a swing-style big band often suggest the oceanic sweep and serious, melancholy tone of film noir movie music."--All music guide.
